Your Data Rights

Under the Mauritius Data Protection Act 2017 you have rights over the personal data StayEasy holds about you. This page explains those rights and how to exercise them. For the full detail of what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.

1. Your rights

Access	Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Rectification	Ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
Erasure	Ask us to delete your data where there is no lawful reason for us to keep it.
Restriction	Ask us to pause our use of your data while a query is resolved.
Objection	Object to our use of your data in certain circumstances.
Direct marketing	Object to direct marketing at any time. This is absolute — we stop immediately.
Withdraw consent	Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on it, without affecting past processing.
Complain	Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Office of Mauritius.

2. How to make a request

Send your request to dpo@stayeasybooking.com. Please tell us which right you wish to exercise and enough detail for us to find your data. We may need to confirm your identity before we act, to protect your data from someone else requesting it.

3. Our timing and cost

We respond to an access request within one month. Where a request is complex, we may extend this by a further month and will tell you if so.
We act on rectification and erasure requests without undue delay.
Exercising your rights is free of charge.

4. When we may not be able to fully comply

Sometimes the law requires us to keep certain data — for example, booking and invoice records we must retain for tax purposes. Where we cannot fully meet a request for that reason, we will explain why and do what we lawfully can.

5. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data or your request, contact dpo@stayeasybooking.com. You also have the right to complain directly to the Data Protection Office of Mauritius.
