Easy Stay Residence

From the upper terrace you look west over the lagoon — boats moored on it, the reef breaking white further out, and the sun going down into the water at the end of the afternoon.

Five room types, each sleeping two. All have a private bathroom, air conditioning, a safe, WiFi, a television, beach towels and an electric kettle. Breakfast is included and served from seven until ten. The Terrace Room opens straight onto a furnished terrace. Two rooms have a balcony with a partial view of the sea, and the suite adds a seating area and a microwave. The Economy Double sits in a quieter part of the residence with a small seating space outside.

The gate opens onto the public beach access and the sand is fifty metres down. The 7/10 supermarket is 72 m up the road and closes at nine; Chez Popo is 450 m along the B38, a flat six-minute walk. There is an ATM at about a hundred metres and a medical centre at two hundred. Parking is free on site.

You walk back from the water, rinse off, and you are up on the terrace with a cold drink five minutes later.

Check-in runs from one in the afternoon until nine at night, and you should tell the residence what time you expect to arrive. Check-out is between eight and eleven. The family speak English, French, Hindi and Creole. Grand Baie is about twenty minutes by road and the airport a little over an hour.

Every room takes two, so it suits couples or two friends travelling together rather than families sharing a room. No smoking, no parties, no pets. The residence is closed from October to the end of January.
